About Felicity O’Connor

Founder of the Art Activator (TM) Program

“Her creative colours were laid out bare, her intention became clear, she was ready to embrace the artist she once feared.”

Felicity is a professional artist,  she has been selected as a finalist in the Hunters Hill Art Prize 2016, the Blacktown Art Prize and the Hornsby Art Prize 2015. She has also been a five time finalist in the Gosford Art Prize as well as many other awards and accolades which you can read about on her art website.

In addition,  Felicity is a registered psychologist and has a Masters degree in Art Therapy. With this unique mix of skills she spends much of her time these days enjoying mentoring other artists to gain more from their art personally and professionally.

Recent statistics on Australian female artists reveal disturbing facts on the gender and equality issues for emerging and established artists.
75% of art graduate students are female
35% of female artists are represented in galleries and museums.
(Elvis Richardson, ‘Women count in the art world’ 2014).

Have you ever been an artist that thought you had more inside you than what you had created so far?

The Art Activator program has been developed to support emerging female artists by providing them with education, resources and community to confidently create their artwork and have an opportunity to exhibit and sell. We are extremely excited to be the first in the world to bring together this type of training and support for female artists.
