Q. What is the accommodation like?
You will be sharing our beautiful relaxed home with us (one husband and me). It’s a very peaceful half acre with serene valley and lake views. You will have your own bedroom and a shared bathroom with one other retreat artist.

 

Q. What are the catering arrangements?
My super hubby Matt is an awesome cook (and gin expert!) and will be providing us with all meals except on Saturday night when we will be eating out together at a favorite beach side location in Avoca.

 

Q. What if I have specific dietary requirements?
We will be providing gluten free and vegetarian options and will do our best to meet your specific dietary requirements as best as we can. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any such requirements.

 

Q. Do I need to bring my own art materials?
Yes. You need to bring everything with you including containers for water, something to cover your clothes and hats for working out doors if you choose to and portable easels if you prefer to work that way. We will have trestle tables available for you and two larger easels on site.   You are welcome to bring any mediums to work with that you would like to. If you are working in oil paints or other potentially toxic materials just bring odorless materials.

 

Q. What should I work on while on retreat?
It’s entirely up to you to choose what you would like to work on while on the retreat. You might like to bring some ongoing work to complete or you might like to start a new project you have in mind or you might like to just come and soak up the environment on the coast to spark some new ideas.

 

Q. What if I don’t have an up to date CV, website or active social media presence?
Well that’s just fine! As part of your retreat there is  1:1 time with me to sit down and map out some of the business end of your art profile to make sure all your hard work in the studio is being noticed out there by your potential buyers!

 

Q. How do I get to the accommodation?
Once you have paid in full, I will provide you with the address and how to find us. You can arrive by 2pm on the Thursday and be ready to check out by 10am on the Sunday.

 

Q. Will I have my own room?
Yes. Room size may vary, first in best dressed! We are very sensitive to the fact you may need some quite personal time and we provide a space for you to enjoy some down time to.

 

Q. What if I can’t make it?
Your 10% deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made within 5 weeks of the start date will forfeit 100% of the total already paid. Please email usteam@felicityoconnor.com as soon as possible if you think you are not going to make it to the retreat. If you cancel more than 5 weeks before the retreat start date, you will be refunded all money paid minus the non-refundable deposit.

 

Q. Does the price cover travel to the Artist’s RETREAT?
No. You will be responsible for all travel costs to the retreat. However, if you are coming by train, we are happy to include a station pick up and drop off for you to Gosford station if you let us know in advance.

 

Q. Is there any chance it could be cancelled?
As with any event it is unlikely but possible cancellations could occur. If this was the case you will receive a full refund of any money paid. Airfares and any other costs are at your own risk and will not be refunded if the retreat is cancelled.

 

Q. What’s not included in this package?
All art materials, all travel cost (minus station shuttle to Gosford station if requested) all personal items.
